Round 8 SA Interfile Superbike & Super Sport Championship – Cape Town
Lance Isaacs wins both Super Bike heats, sets a new lap record, pole position, and closes within twenty points of the 2009 SA Superbike championship title. Jacques Peskens wins his first SA 600 Super Sport heat and takes the overall win! It was just a matter of time when this was going to happen as the Portable Shade Honda team became one of the first to win in both 1000 Superbike and 600 Supersport at the same event, that’s what you call total domination..!
Qualifying
 #38 - Isaacs
PS Hondas onto the front rows of both Super Bike and Super Sport. It was all about Isaacs who blasted his Portable Shade CBR1000RR into pole position by more half a second over second place and another Honda of GG. Arushen Moodley bumped off the front row to fifth in the dying seconds by Leason on the R1. 600’s PS Super Sport young guns of Peskens in 3rd and Egan in 7th. Janine managed to find 2 seconds from Friday’s practice. Honda development rider Brent Harren was also assisted by PS Racing for the weekend was positioned in a brilliant 13th position in his first visit to the track.
Superbike
#21 - Moodley
Portable Shade Honda Racing made it clear that they are a force to be reckoned with and can’t be counted out for 2009 Superbike title. Race one was all about home town boy #38 Lance Isaacs, he led form lap one and never looked back smashing the lap record in the process and wining in grand style. The race for second place was between Geldenhuis – CBR1000, Moodley – CBR1000 and Morais - ZX10, the final result proved that the Honda is the bike to be on with three of the top four positions going to the CBR1000RR. Race two was a repeat of race one Isaacs checked out to run away from second place by more than five seconds. The PS Hondas of Lance & Arushen were on song as the fine tuning of Alfie Swanepoel gave the bike additional power using the new Power Commander PC5 fuelling system, Alfie received additional help from his new super fast HP laptop and he also received additional assistance from American tuner Ken Compton (actually from Drag Race fame) who came over to help Anassis Racing win their 5th consecutive SA Drag Race title on Thursday and in doing so also smashed the current SA Drag Race record, assisted Alfie & the team for the weekend. Martin Paetzold brought all his trick suspension tools to his home race to make sure his MP kitted boys had the grip to put the power down. It all paid off in the end as the final results speak for themselves.
#89 - Peskens The battle raged on again throughout the race two with Isaacs having a terrible first lap which saw him come past the start finish line in a sad 10th place. He had to work hard to manoeuvre through a wild field eventually end in fifth, Moodley made the team proud by holding off the young charging Leason on the ever improving Yamaha R1 to take a fine 3rd place in heat two. Michael Shortt in his second SA National for PS Honda finished in 10th place overall.

Supersport
Peskens gives PS Honda their first victory in the 600 Supersport class. Heat one was won by Morais who has already wrapped up the ’09 championship, Alberts on the race nation Honda CBR600 and in his slipstream was Peskens. Egan was in the battle for 4th position but on the final hooked a false neutral sending him into the gravel, he got back on the track in 13th Position. Race 2 later in the day a mixed bag of weather with rain coming and going, heat two was to be a wet race. The PS young gun Jacques Peskens made it a first in his racing career by winning the second heat. On track Odendaal took the race to the field and led 7 out of 10 laps, but Peskens fought hard and did not let him get out of his sight, Peskens waited until the final turn and then rode around the outside of Odendaal to put himself in a perfect position for the final chicane and lead the run to the flag, Odendaal pulled out of the slip stream but is was Peskens who took the win by 300th of a second.
